The Rules of Playz

Welcome to the Playz website All references to the word Playz are references to Playz Holdings Pty Ltd in its own right, it’s associated bodies, and includes any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, other partners and employees. The following Terms and Conditions govern the use of the Playz website, and its associated apps and social media platforms. By using this site, the End User (“you”) are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions that follow.

1. About Playz

(a) Playz publishes or makes available on the Playz website and associated social media platforms information, advertisements, products and services intended for parents to organize activities for their children. Playz does not warrant, represent, authorise or endorse:
(i) the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any such material published on the Playz website or associated social media platforms or on any website that links from the Playz website.
(ii) any of the companies, businesses, clubs or organisations which are featured on, or advertise or are named on the Playz website.
(b) Playz does not provide any warranty in relation to any goods or services advertised for sale on Playz by third parties.
(c) Playz does not endorse or necessarily agree with any of the feedback or ratings that have been published on this website.

2. Personal and Non Commercial Use Only

Use of Playz is for your personal and non-commercial use only. Except for the material held in your computer’s cache or a single permanent copy of the material for your personal use, or items shared through the Playz website or through social media, you must not without the prior written approval of Playz:
(a) modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish or license any material;
(b) use or attempt to use any material published on Playz to create any website or publication or searchable database;
(c) mirror or frame any website or page within Playz;
(d). use any automated process of any sort to query, access, retrieve, scrape, data-mine or copy any material on Playz or generate or compile any document, index or database based on the material published on Playz;
(e) transfer or sell any information, functionality or products or services offered on Playz; or
(f) undertake any other action which is in violation of these terms and conditions or any applicable law.

3. You are Responsible for your use of Playz

(a) Playz does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of, or the representations made in the listings on Playz, or any website that links from Playz or any information received as a result of using Playz. You are responsible for assessing the accuracy of the information found on Playz and rely on it at your own risk. Playz also does not warrant the qualifications or competence of any of the companies, businesses, clubs or organisations (referred to below as “Activity Providers”) who are featured, or advertise or are named on the Playz website. It is your responsibility to make your own research as to whether the activities conducted by those Activity Providers, and their level of supervision and care, and their standards, are satisfactory and are appropriate for your child.
(b) The services and goods shown on Playz are provided as general information only. The services and/or products are not professional, expert or other advice and are not a substitute for such advice; may not be appropriate, correct or sufficient for your children’s circumstances; should not be relied on as the only reason you do or don’t do anything; and may not be continually accessible or free from errors or viruses.
(c) You agree to indemnify Playz against any liability, loss, claim or demand if Playz (or any of its officers, representatives, employees or agents) suffers any loss or damage or incurs any cost in connection with a breach by you (or any of its officers, representatives, employees or agents) of these terms and conditions.
(d) You must keep your username and password to access Playz secure and confidential and not provide those details to any third party under any circumstance. You represent and warrant to Playz that you accept all liability for any unauthorised use of any username and password created by or issued to you.

4. Registered Users of Playz

(a) If you choose to become a registered user of Playz, additional products and services may be made available to you.
(b) By becoming a Playz registered user, you agree to receive electronic communications from Playz about its products and services.
(c) If you choose to utilise registered user products and services, you agree to abide by any additional terms and conditions of those specific products and / or services.

5. Information you provide to Activity Providers though Playz

Any information you provide to any third party on Playz should be verified with the Activity Provider. In particular, any allergy or special need requirements, or any other requirements communicated through Playz, need to be confirmed directly with the Activity Provider.

6. Bookings made through the Playz website

Playz acts as a booking agent for various activity providers (“the Activity Providers”) which are featured on the Playz website. Bookings made on Playz for activities on this site are made directly with each Activity Provider and the role of Playz is strictly limited to that of booking agent. Playz is not liable for the content, facilities, conduct, or any other aspect of the activity provided by any Activity Provider. Playz is not liable for any additional terms and conditions that Activity Providers may impose, including but not limited to terms and conditions that Activity Providers have published on this website. Playz is also not liable for any act, neglect, default or breach of any Activity Provider. It is your responsibility to inform an Activity Provider of any needs of your child. It is also your responsibility to research the activities, qualifications and standards of the Activity Provider to ensure that they are appropriate for your child.

Playz is in no way to be held responsible for the way in which any activity is conducted by an Activity Provider, or the conditions under which an activity is held, or any other issues that may arise from the activity.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Playz does not exchange or refund an Activity booking. Cancellations, changes and refunds are the sole responsibility of the Activity Provider and they will be accountable and responsible for any exchanges or refunds due. Please note any specific Activity Provider terms in relation to Cancellations and Refunds.

8. Communications

(a) Playz may provide you with the ability to communicate with Playz, advertisers and other users of Playz, through agreements, online forms, social media, electronic requests and enquires, blogs, competition entries, online forums, inbound phone number services and other forms of electronic messaging (Communications).
(b) You acknowledge that Communications may be public and not private communications. Further, you acknowledge that Communication may be collected, stored and scanned by Playz. You should not however, consider Communication to have been reviewed, screened, or approved by Playz.
(c) Use of the Communications is provided on condition that you do not do any of the following:
i. transmit any information or material which is knowingly incorrect, misleading or deceptive;
ii. transmit any defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent or unlawful information or material or information;
iii. transmit spam, chain letters, contests, junk mail, surveys or other mass messaging;
iv. use the Communications Services for any unlawful purpose;
v. post or upload files that contain software or other material or information in breach of any person’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
vi. deliberately upload files that contain viruses, corrupted files, worms, defects or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another’s computer or damage any of Playz infrastructure;
vii. delete any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded.
viii. advertise or offer to sell any goods or services, or conduct or forward surveys, contests or chain letters other than as approved by Playz.
ix. download any file posted by another user of the Communications that you know, or reasonably should know, is unlawful or contrary to these terms and conditions.
x. excessively use the Communications in a manner which may hinder or prevent Playz from providing services to any other persons or which may threaten the integrity or use by any person of Playz;
xi. authorise, aid, abet encourage or incite any person to do any of the above acts.
(d) Playz may, but has no obligation to, review the use of the Communications by you and in its absolute discretion may delete, edit, refuse to post or remove in whole or part any information or material uploaded or posted using the Communications.

9. Software Services

(a) Any software that is made available to download from Playz (“Software”) is owned by Playz and/or its suppliers.
(b) Your use of the Software is governed by the terms of the end user license agreement, if any, which accompanies or is included with the Software (“License Agreement”). You must agree to the terms of the License Agreement before using the Software.
(c) If there is no License Agreement, Playz grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Software for viewing and otherwise using Playz in accordance with these terms and conditions, and for no other purpose. You must not:
i. copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, vary or modify in whole or in part or the Software;
ii. reverse assemble or reverse compile or directly or indirectly allow or cause a third party to reverse assemble or reverse compile, in whole or in part, the Software;
iii. introduce or use any device, software or routine that interferes or attempts to interfere with the operation of the Software; or
iv. sub-license, rent, lease, lend or grant to any person any rights to use the Software other than as set out in this paragraph.

10. Playz and Your Privacy

By using Playz, you agree to the Playz Privacy Policy (as stated on this website), which sets out how Playz collects, uses and discloses your personal information.

11. What Law Governs these Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria Australia and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State.

12. Playz May Change These Terms and Conditions

(a) Playz may at any time and, in its absolute discretion modify or amend the terms and conditions upon which goods or services are supplied by you including such modifications or amendments in these terms of use and publishing them on Playz. Such modifications will be binding on you once displayed on this website. You should regularly check the terms and conditions displayed on this website.
(b) Playz may cease to provide you with access to Playz or any of its services without notice.
(c) All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

  • any registered user whose child has attended the activity being reviewed
  • and the registered user has no affiliation with the activity provider of the listing


The intention of reviews

  • to provide information to other users looking at activities
  • to give a personal account of a users experience


Are reviews moderated?

  • The playz team reads every review and posts only reviews that meet our guidelines.
  • Activity Providers are able to have a right of reply / comment to every review posted.
  • Activity Providers are able to request reviews to be removed from playz if they can verify the review is not written in good faith.


What’s not allowed?

    1.Objectionable material:

  • Obscene or distasteful content
  • Profanity or spiteful remarks
  • Promotion of illegal or immoral conduct


    2. Promotional content:

  • Reviews written for any form of compensation.


    3. Inappropriate content:

  • Other people’s material (this includes excessive quoting)
  • Phone numbers, mailing addresses, and URLs external to playz


    4. Off-topic information:

  • reviews should be relevant to the activity being reviewed


Only first hand experiences

  • No second-hand information or hearsay (unverified information, rumors, or quotations from other sources or the reported opinions/experience of others).
  • No reviews written by ownership, management or other representative of the providers business including representatives from other locations or areas.
  • Individuals affiliated with a provider may not review competitors.
  • No ratings or comments about aspects of an activity that your children did not experience.
