Merryl's Mosiacs has a number of fantastic party options for you to choose from:

• A Bead Mosaic party  - for 4-6 year olds - 2 hours 

Minimum 10 participants.

This party involves a fun and creative activity where children make and take home a complete bead mosaic. Children can choose their own mosiac template from over 80 templates, eg Hello Kitty, Minion, teddy bear, cupcake, love heart, Pepper Pig, koala and many more.  They then choose a paint colour and paint their template, and then have fun choosing their own beads from a gorgeous array of mosaic plastic tiles and glass beads. The party continues with everyone sticking their beads in their own designs and creating their masterpeice.  Each child leaves with their own piece of art!! 

Typically the bead mosaic part of the party runs for 1 and a half hours. Then you have about 30 minutes for the food and celebration. The children will all take their piece home.

• A Mosaic Party - for 6+ year olds - 2.5 hours 

Minimum 8 participants

A mosaic party is a fun and creative activity where participants make and take home a complete mosaic. Choose from about 80 templates, eg pineapple, Eiffel tower, teddy bear,cupcake, guitar, scull and many more; choose from a gorgeous array of mosaic glass tiles, learn to cut, stick and grout your piece. A wonderful experience for children from 6 years plus.

Typically the mosaic part of the party runs for 2 hours. Then you have about 20 minutes for the food and celebration. Then in the last 10 minutes the participants clean the grout off their pieces and polish them up. They will all take them home. We supply 1 assistant for every 8 children, so for children between 6 and 8 years old we recommend a couple of parents stay at the beginning to help their children cut their tiles.

• A Flowers and Bling Mosaic Party - for 6+ years - 2.5 hours

Minimum 8 participants

This is a fabulous party activity for kids and adults alike.  Using the most beautiful array of blingy beads, sequins, polymer clay flowers and sparkly mosaic glass tiles, and a choice of a huge range of templates, create floral glass art mosaics in a fun and artistic environment. The result is very beautiful and fit to be framed and hung in your home.

No grouting is required. This party begins with participants choosing a template of their choice (we have a very wide range including picture frames, love hearts, hamsa's, pineapples, letters of the alphabet, unicorns, flowers and much more); then painting the template in a colour that will be a background to the colour group participants choose for their beads/flowers/tiles. Then cut and stick shiny glass tiles as a border, and fill the piece with an array of beads and flowers.

• A Glass Fusing Party - for 10+ year olds - 2.5 hours 

Minimum 8 participants

A glass fusing party is a fun and creative activity where participants make a fused glass piece or fused glass dish. Usually a more complex and expensive glass art, we have come up with a design technique that is simple, fun and affordable and produces beautiful results.

Glass fusing is an amazing and beautiful process and participants will be delighted with the results. Fusing glass involves taking a base piece of glass and designing a glass design on it.  The two layers of glass are then fired in a kilm. The glass can be fired smooth, or textured.  Participants can also choose to shape their glass design into either a flat plate or a dish. The pieces will be left and fired later, and can be picked up in about 1 week after the party. Pictures above ilustrate some glass designs.

• Adult Parties - for 18+ year olds - Minimum 6 participants

We run mosaic and glass fusing parties for adults as well. We often host 30th, 40th, 50th etc. birthday parties, as well as Hen's Parties, End-of-Year Parties  and Special Group Parties.

We often run Team Building Parties for Corporate Groups as well. These are run the same way as kids parties. For Corporate Parties, we offer a choice of each person making their own piece, or  a group mosaic where the team contributes to the group mosaic and it stays at work. The second option requires some planning and would be priced accordingly.

General Party Information

With all our parties you can either bring your own food or we offer food as an optional extra. We can also supply invitations. So book a party at Merryl's Mosaics and arrive on the day and enjoy! No preparation required! The only thing you need to bring is a Birthday Cake (if required).

Our parties can cater for all age groups and for boys, girls and adults.  We can accommodate up to 32 people in one space, and also have 3 additional rooms if you want to hire the studio for a large event. We have a lovely courtyard for parents/participants if they wish to use it.

Booking Information

Parties can accomodate up to 32 participants (in one space).  When booking a party add extra participants by selecting the corresponding additional participants for your shopping cart from the additional items menu.  Party food packages can also be ordered this way.
