Holiday Programs at Futures Tennis Academy!

The school holidays are coming up soon and FTA will be running holiday tennis clinics in the school holidays. With the Australian Summer of Tennis in January; why not get them active, out of the house and learning tennis as well as watching it!

We are running two (2) clinics over the holiday period.

The Korowa Clinic will be run from Monday 12 December to Thursday 15 December 2016 with only the half-day program (9:30am - 12:30pm) being offered.

The "Aussie Open" Clinic will be run from Monday 16 January to Friday 20 January 2017 with the half-day (9:30am - 12:30pm) and full-day (9:30am - 3:30pm) programs being offered.

All our clinics and tournaments are part of the Hot Shots Program, to be sure to offer the most suitable tennis experience to kids of all ages from 4 to 16 years olds.

Futures Tennis offers Holiday Half Day and Full Day programs for all ages, all weeks of the school holidays and everyone is invited to attend. Clinics are a fantastic way to fast track pupil’s improvement with 24 hours of fun-filled coaching packed into five full days. Some pupils, though do choose to come just for one half day, some just for one full day, some even attend for a mix of all of the days; but most pupils choose the full week as fees are cheaper this way, cheaper even than child care. Either way pupils will have an opportunity to fast track their learning in a fun environment.

Common Questions 

What ages/standards do we cater for? 
All standards from 4 years of age up are invited to join in our Hot Shots Modified Clinics. We also offer 12 years old in our “Invitation Only” Advanced Clinics.

What do pupils bring? 
Sunscreen, cap, snack, water bottle, if staying for the day bring a cut lunch…

Are there prizes and awards? 
All participants receive a minor prize, there is also a group winner prize and lastly there is a major most improved award.

How to coaching clinics work?
Half Day [3 hrs] : 9.30-11am Coaching, 11-11.15am Drink/Snack Break, 11.15-12.30pm Games based coaching. [There is also the option of booking in for a half day clinic in the afternoon session from 12.30-3:30pm]
Whole Day [6 hrs] : As above then 12.30-1.00 Lunch [also free time to play], 1.30-2.30 Coaching, 2.30-3.30pm Coach supervised match play.
Whole Week [24 hrs] : Same structure as above except there is a different program each day e.g. Monday Ground strokes, Tuesday Net play etc.

Clinic Types:

[1] Hot Shots [Red Ball players] Modified Holiday Clinics 
Futures conduct clinics for the very young pupils also. These clinics are for kids aged 3 to 7 year olds where we may use modified nets, smaller courts, pressure less tennis balls, stay ball stands and extra rest breaks. For convenience they run at the same time as our older junior clinics from 9.30-12.30pm Monday to Thursday and the program concentrates on basic tennis skills and fundamental motor skills. Of course these clinics are also great fun with very experienced coaches who also teach our Hot Shots term classes. Parents often choose to follow up these clinics with weekly term classes on our Red mini court.

[2] Junior Holiday Clinics [suitable for Orange Ball to Yellow Ball players] 
Junior Holiday Clinics are extremely popular fro kids from 7-16 years. Junior clinics are an ideal way to fast track improvement for Junior and Squad class pupils. They also offer pupils a great time as all pupils enjoy meeting and socialising with their new group members. Equipment used includes Sam the Ball Machine.
